Domains
How long does domain registration take?
Most domains are active within minutes of a successful payment. Some country-code TLDs (like .ng) can take a little longer while the registry processes the request.
What is WHOIS privacy and is it free?
WHOIS privacy hides your personal contact details from the public WHOIS database. It is available as an add-on for supported TLDs at checkout or from your domain's management page.
Can I turn off auto-renew?
Yes. Open the domain from My Domains in your dashboard and toggle Auto-renew off. We recommend keeping it on to avoid losing a domain unexpectedly.
Transfers
What do I need to transfer a domain to Cloudone?
You'll need your domain unlocked at your current registrar and an authorization (EPP) code, which your current registrar can provide.
Will my website or email go down during a transfer?
No. A domain transfer only changes who manages the domain — it does not change your DNS records, so your website and email keep working throughout.
DNS
How do I point my domain to my website?
Open the domain from My Domains, go to DNS records, and add or edit an A record (for an IP address) or a CNAME record (for a hostname) pointing to your host.
How long do DNS changes take to apply?
Most changes are visible within minutes, but full propagation across the internet can take up to 24 hours depending on your record's TTL.
Billing
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept EFT, debit and credit cards, and mobile payments via Paystack and Flutterwave, billed in Naira.
Where can I find my invoices?
All your invoices are listed under Invoices in your dashboard, including payment status and due dates.
